WALMART'S EGG SUPPLIER IN CHILE
2026-11-13
Sinergia Animal's 2026 investigation shows the appalling conditions of egg production among Walmart's egg suppliers in Chile.
Sinergia Animal’s investigation recorded cages housing approximately five hens each, with so little space that they cannot fully spread their wings. The footage also shows birds with feather loss, accumulated dirt, and dead hens being removed from the facilities, in some cases alongside the collected eggs.
The investigators witnessed hens confined to cramped spaces, with limited mobility and unable to fully perform behaviors natural to their species.
Sinergia Animal urges Lider to make a public commitment that 100% of its fresh shell eggs come from cage-free systems, set a date to achieve it, and put in place a way to verify its progress
